Please send us a copy of your Mental Health Care Plan via our online contact form or to info@affinitytherapy.net.au so we can call you to complete the intake process. Your doctor may have also sent us a copy of your referral, which will allow us to process your Medicare rebate for psychologist services.
You do not need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP/Psychiatrist to see a Psychologist. However, having an MHCP allows you to receive a Medicare rebate for a psychologist appointment, reducing the out-of-pocket cost. The current Medicare rebate for a psychologist is $96.65 per session, and up to 10 sessions per calendar year are eligible for rebates.
You can contact us on 1300 898 963 or send us a message through our online contact form to arrange an intake call. You do not need an MHCP to access therapy, and private-paying clients are welcome.

Sessions typically last between 40-50 minutes, depending on the discussion and therapeutic needs.
